# 自动更新术语表

EndNote 默认可以自动更新术语表，如果在文献中输入一个术语中已有的术语，EndNote 会提示自动完成，这样不仅方便输入还可以控制术语的一致性和精确性

如果不想使用术语表可以关闭术语表的自动更新功能，同样还可以手动更新术语表。在文献中输入数据时，如果术语表中没有相应的术语，第一次要手动输入所有的术语，此时所输入的术语为红色，并且自动添加到术语表中，第二次再次输入同样的术语时，只要输入前面几个字母就会自动完成术语的输入，但是如果输入的术语比较特殊，与第一次的术语有一些不同，可以不用管术语表的自动完成提示，直接全部输入。

### 关闭术语表自动更新

1. 依次打开菜单 Edit >> Preferences.
2. Term Lists
3. 取消选中「Update lists when importing or pasting references」和 「Update lists during data entry」

### 分隔符

EndNote 有预设的作者，关键词和期刊术语表，在这些字段中输入多个术语时，相应的术语表会自动更新，但是在输入术语的时候应该让 EndNote 知道术语的结束和开头标识，这种标识就是术语的分隔符

作者字段的作者姓名必须每行输入一位作者，因此回车键是作者术语表的分隔符。期刊字段中因为只有一个期刊，所以期刊术语表的分隔符在此并不重要。关键词术语表的分隔符是3个术语表中最复杂的，EndNote 默认也是使用回车作为关键词术语的分隔符，因此关键词最好是一行输入一个。但是 EndNote 同样也默认分号，反斜线(\\)是关键词术语表的分隔符，可参阅[手动更新术语表](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/term-lists/add-terms/Manually_Updating_TrmLsts.htm)
