# 特殊字符

EndNote 可输入特殊符号，如变音符号，希腊字母，数学公式和印刷符号。变音符号是 Windows 标准字体的一部分，多数符号可以在符号字体中输入

注：变音符号或称附加符号(diacritic)，是指添加在字母上面的符号，以更改字母的发音或者以区分拼写相似词语。例如汉语拼音字母「ü」上面的两个小点，或「á」、「à」字母上面的标调符。变音符号可以放在字母的上方或下方，也可以放在其他的位置。但是注意，并不是所有这些符号都是变音符号。例如字母「i」和「j」上面的点是字母本身的一部分，而不是变音符号。另外，在一种语言中，一个符号是变音符号，但是在另外一种语言中则不是。例如，在加泰罗尼亚语、葡萄牙语和西班牙语中，u和ü是相同的字母，但是在德语、爱沙尼亚语、匈牙利语、土耳其语、波兰语、维吾尔语或阿塞拜疆语中，它们表示不同的字母

EndNote 使用 Unicode 编码特殊符号，这样可以不同平台，程序和语言之间轻松转换

**特殊字符输入可使用如下输入方法**

* 如果字符是键盘支持语言的一部分，在键盘上直接输入
* 从其他程序复制特殊字体粘贴到 EndNote 数据库中
* 使用操作系统提供的[字符映射](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/references/creating-a-new-reference/using_character_map.htm)程序
