# 格式管理器

[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/) 包含有4500种文献格式，默认存储于EndNote安装夹下的Style目录下，另外还可以[安装输出格式](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/21InstallingEndNote/Installing_AdditionalOStyles.htm)。

格式的名称反应了期刊或者出版社的要求，如Nature style就是根据自然杂志的要求的一种格式，Chicago style是根据芝加哥格式手册的一种格式。导出格式或者导入格式，如 RIS，不同于输出格式，而是导出EndNote数据时转换成另外一种数据库要求的处理方法。

查看EndNote是否包含期刊的参考文献格式，可以打开格式管理器查看格式列表。如果期刊格式没有，可以根据已有格式或者新建格式比着其时格式进行调整。

### 格式管理器导航

使用以下方法可以找到自己的格式：

* 如果知道期刊的名称，可以输入期刊的首字母
* 在工具栏中的快速搜索(Quick Search)中输入文本查找，可以输入全称或者部分内容，EndNote会显示所有匹配结果。
* 选择 Find By 按钮然后选择分类，仅显示分类的期刊
* 选择Find By 按钮然后选择 All Styles 可以重新显示所有格式
* 选择列表的标题可以根据期刊名称或者类别排序
* 选择底部的 More Info 按键可以显示当前格式的详细信息

### 设置偏好格式

有的格式会经常用到，可以选择设置为偏好格式，这样这些格式就会出现工具栏中，可以更快的找到常用的格式。

偏好格式设置

1. 依次打开菜单 Edit >> Output Styles >> Open Style Manager
2. 找到需要的格式
3. 选中格式前面的方框
4. 关闭格式管理器

选择整个分类的格式作为偏好设置可以点击 Find By 按钮，选择感兴趣的一个分类，然后选择 Mark All

**没有找到自己需要格式**

很多期刊的参考文献格式大多是一些知名文献格式的变异，EndNote内置了4500多种期刊格式，可能不包括需要的期刊格式，此时可以

* 查看期刊的投稿指南，有的期刊会提供EndNote格式下载，如[Wiley出版商就提供了旗下期刊EndNote格式下载](http://www.howsci.com/wiley-endnote-output-sytle.html)。如果没有格式下载看看是否其格式与其他期刊格式一样，如果一样就使用已有的格式，如果有稍微差别进行微调一下即可
* 可以去[EndNote官方下载](http://endnote.com/downloads/styles)最新的期刊参考文献格式
