# 脚注的重复引用

大多数人文科学的期刊脚注引用都很复杂。有各种各样的脚注[输出格式](http://www.howsci.com/tag/output-styles/)要求。这些要求可在 Footnote >> Repeated Citations 面板中设置。

有些[输出格式](http://www.howsci.com/tag/output-styles/)在脚注使用短形式，尤其是脚注中出现重复引用时更是要求如此。EndNote针对这些要求提供了一些选项

**If the Same Reference Repeats in Consecutive Citations**

当在连续性脚注(consecutive footnotes，这是什么鸟，真是不清楚，神马脚注？神马脚注？神马脚注？重要的事情我要说三遍)出现重复引用时，可以选择替换重复数据为另外其他的形式。常用的是同上(Ibid)，可以在Insert Field列表中插入其他的替换选项，例如当同样的文献在脚注重复可以选择插入Cited Pages。如果选择了如果选择插入Cited Pages需要在Word中选择Edit Manage Citations对话框，输入页码。

如果在Insert Field列表中选择插入的是Author，[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/)将仅在参考文献中显示作者姓名，此时"Ibid"就会引起歧义。否则EndNote将显示默认值(如"Ibid")或者其他用户选择。例如：

> Glover M.Allen,Bats:Biology,Behavior,and Folklore(Mineola,N.Y..:Dover Publications,2004),100;ibid.,200\
> Michael V.Argus,"New Paleontological Excavation Techniques, "Journal of Paleontology19,(1993)\
> Glover M.Allen,ibid.,300

Omit repeated data选项是把重复的数据省略

当连续脚注中文献重复时，可能同样需要No Special Handling选项，这样就和其他文献缩进一样了

**注：**时刻记住在Insert Field列表中插入Volume仅用于书籍或者书籍章节文献类型，其他文献类型这个选项不起作用

**If the Same Source Repeats in Consecutive Citations**

这个设置不适用于连续脚注中的完全相同的重复文献，但是在多个脚注中的两个连续引文中任何重复数据适用。例如：如果不同的文献来源于同一期刊，这些设置适用于期刊名称，卷和期(或者来源信息相同的任何部分)。此时可能需要选择"No special handling"选项以使这些引文不被缩写。或者可能选择替换重复数据为"Ibid"(或用户选择的其他文本)。如果选择该项，可能限制仅替换二级标题部分(包括杂志，期刊或者新闻，或者书籍的题目作为书籍章节的标题)。

下面是[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/)如何在连续脚注格式化重复来源数据的的例子

`1.Morris Birkbeck,"The Illinois Praries and Settlers, "in Praire State:Impressions of Illinois,1673--1967,by Travelers and Other Observers,ed.Paul M.Angle(Chicago:University of Chicago Press,1968),62."The Soil of the Big-Prairie, which is of no great extent notwithstanding its name, is a rich cool sand; that is to say, one of the most desirable description"(ibid.,63).`

**注：**这些细节设置可能引起混淆，[科研动力](http://www.howsci.com/)也尽最大最大最大的努力说清楚，并且EndNote也尽了最大的努力把这些选项作好配置，这样用户就不需要再详细的编辑这些详细的设置了。但是，仍有部分期刊的参考文献格式太变态，因此有时候还是需要调教这些设置的，如果不明白，可以咨询期刊，或者详细仔细认真的看在投稿指南
