# 期刊名称

不同的[期刊](http://www.howsci.com/tag/journaltag/)有不同的缩写标准，例如有些期刊可能需要把 "Proceedings of the National Academy of Science" 缩写为 " Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci.,"" P.N.A.S."或者" PNAS."。[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/)的期刊术语表提供了存储期刊名称（全旬和3种不同形式的缩写）。

每个[数据库](http://www.howsci.com/tag/library/)的期刊术语表可自动与 Journal 和 Alternate Journal 字段联系，以准备使用哪种期刊名称。需要确保期刊术语表中的必需的信息，输出格式正确使用期刊的名称。

如果期刊术语表包含的期刊名称和在[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/)文献中输入的一样，可以设置输出格式转换成术语表中的另外一种表现形式。

EndNote提供了不同标准(医学,化学和人文科学)的期刊的几种缩写形式。如果使用其中的一种形式插入文献，可能需要导入到期刊术语表中(见[加载期刊缩写](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/output-style/09TermLists/Loading_SuppliedJrnlAbbrvs.htm)并使用其中的一种形式。如果EndNote提供的期刊术语表没有所研究的领域，可能需要自己输入缩写，见[期刊名称输入注意事项](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/output-style/09TermLists/Important_PtsAbtEntrgJrnls.htm)。

使用期刊术语表的缩写编辑输出格式

1. 依次打开菜单 Edit >> Output Styles >> OOpen Style Manager
2. 选择一种格式并编辑
3. 在格式编辑窗口中选择 Journal Names，以下是选项说明

* **Use Full Journal Name**\
  使用全名
* **Abbreviation 1**\
  **Abbreviation 2**\
  **Abbreviation 3**\
  在参考文献中，每个文献的期刊名称各自使用期刊术语表中的第二栏，第三栏或者第四栏代替
* **Don't Replace**\
  和数据库中文献的输入的一样，不改变
* **Abbreviate Journal Articles Only**\
  替换选项会替换文献的所有的Secondary Title，或者期刊文献类型的Secondary Title。如果不选择该项，会替换所有文献类型，EndNote会同样缩写会议，杂志和新闻等类型的文献
* **Remove Periods**\
  删除期刊名称中空格，不管是否使用期刊缩写。这个选项不需要期刊术语表，例如如果期刊输入名称时使用了空格，不需要使用期刊名称不包含空格的期刊术语表就可达到这种效果

如果期刊名称在期刊术语表中不有找到，期刊名称选项常不替换，EndNote使用原始文献中输入的信息

如果期刊术语表中没有内容，或者没有某个期刊的名称，期刊名称常是不替换，[EndNote](http://www.howsci.com/tag/endnote/)使用原始文献所输入的信息

**注：**这些改变不会影响数据库，这些选项仅是影响文末的参考文献，或者使用拷贝，打印，导出等命令时的文献格式
