# 在线检索意义

EndNote 的搜索界面提供了一个简单的方法进行搜索 EndNote 数据库和在线数据库的基本方法。搜索面板可以用于搜索本地数据库和检索在线数据库

很多科研数据库都有在线检索功能，如 PubMed，其网站检索功能要甩 EndNote 的在线检索功能几条街。还可以直接在数据库检索再导入到 EndNote(见[导入文献](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/07Import/Importing_Ref_Data_intoEN.htm))，但是 EndNote 还是花了大力气提供了在线检索数据库功能，其实这也是为了方便用户。比如我就喜欢先在 PubMed 检索文献，如果有感兴趣的文献再在 EndNote 中利用 PubMed 号检索，可以直接把文献添加到数据库中，这比导入文献更简单，比 EndNote 在线检索更精确
