# 检索在线数据库

检索在线数据库和搜索 EndNote 本地数据库差不多，下面是基本的步骤，更多细节调整在另外的文章中叙述

### 首先要选择 Online Search Mode 或 Integrated Library & Online Search Mode

**两种模式和保存文献的方法有一些不同**，详见[显示模式](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/04Library/The_Display_Modes.htm)和[检索和保存文献](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/online-databases/Retrieving_n_SavingRefs.htm)

### 其次检索和下载文献

1. 打开在线检索面板有两种方法
   * 依次打开菜单 Tools >> Online Search，或者在左侧组面板中 Online Search 下方的「more」，选择一个在线数据库，详见[选择连接文件](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/online-databases/Selecting_a_ConnectionFile.htm)。选中连接文件后搜索面板就准备好了
   * 如果检索过在线数据库或者某个在线数据库为偏好数据库，会出现在 Online Search 列表中，详见[选择偏好连接文件](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/online-databases/Picking_Yr_FavConnectFiles.htm)，在列表中选择数据库即可连接远程服务器
2. 输入检索词即可检索，EndNote 会显示检索到多个文献
3. 选择OK，中途可以选择 Options >> Pause 暂停或者 Cancel 直接中止检索
