# 2.8 注意事项

下面所列的是数据库重点事项

* 数据库没有限制文献的数量，但是建议一个数据库最多不要超过5万个文献。
* EndNote 没有限制建立数据库的数量，只要你硬盘空间够大，想建立多少个数据库就建立多少个。但是建议还是把文献都放到一个数据库中为好。
* 可以选择打开 EndNote 时自动打开默认数据库。
* 一次性可以打开多个数据库。
* Windows 版本的 EndNote 建立的数据库，Macintosh 版本的 EndNote 也可用，反之亦然。详见[不同操作系统之间数据库的转换](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-LrgCHEEK5wsSALfCziF/lib/transferring_libsacrssPltfrm.htm)。
* 每个数据库可以单独移动，拷贝，重命名或者删除，如果进行这些操作，一定要把.ENL 文件和相应的.DATA 文件夹一起操作，不然可能会丢失数据。
* 图片，组和其他文件存储于.DATA 文件夹内，如果移动，拷贝，重命名或者删除这个文件夹，要对相应的.ENL 文件进行同样的操作。
* 数据库的扩展名是 .ENL，如果看不到这个扩展名，是操作系统的问题，可以设置为显示扩展名。
* 数据库窗口可以自定义大小，字体也可以自己设置。
* 数据库窗口有多个文献列，默认第一个列是显示 Read / Unread，之后是：

  * File Attachments
  * Author
  * Year
  * Title
  * Rating
  * Journal / Secondary Title
  * Last Updated
  * Reference Type
